HOSPITALITY

During my
yoga time this morning, I tried to remember where I come from before my birth
on this earth.
We are on
this world, we are not from this world.
The earth
happens to be to most beautiful living planet of our solar system. She has provided
herself to give us, incarnated souls, the chance to experience the lessons we
need to rise further above ourselves.
She allows
us to walk around on her surface to be able to do our thing.
We all are
part of a huge role play and look what we do with it: how we severely abuse her
hospitality.
And
sometimes she shows us how disappointed she is by confronting us with an
outburst of her hurt feelings: a tsunami, an earthquake, a flood. This is not
an act of intending to harm us, it is an act of teaching us humanity,
compassion and love towards each other. To be there for someone else instead of
slaughtering our environment and each other.
This is the
only message she wants to give us once in a while.
If you look
down upon this special blue-green planet you see all those human creatures
playing their part in the drama called life, on a stage lent to us by the
earth, meant to help us to grow and develop.
We do not
own anything. We do not belong at any place particular on this planet. We are
allowed to use the whole of it for a period of time, to learn the lessons that
have to make us a better person.
It is up to
us to play this part to the best of our abilities, for our own good.
To thank
mother earth afterwards, for her part, her being there, her hospitality and
most of all: her love.
To finally
return to where we came from, a bit wiser … or not;
filled with regret … or
full of gratitude.
