Last week I went to a Workshop from Susan Smit and Ibora Zant. Their workshop was about how to find your inner Goddess again. I experienced some wonderful things and I really wanted to share them with you.
The
workshop had been arranged by Susan Smit who is a wonderful columnist from a
dutch magazine called Happiness, she is also a spiritual writer, she writes
about being a witch, but also novels.
Ibora
Zant is a business coach who has a lot of amazing reviews, she wants people to
start a business with their deepest passion so they are sure to have a
successful business. She is also a hypnotherapist.
The
spot where this workshop has been held was beautiful. A little old former
church where more than 300 women came to discover where they could find their
own power of the Goddess.
We started
with a meditation, which was very strong and emotional. You could feel the
energy of all the women present and united.
Their
purpose with this workshop was to find who you really are and how to find your
own strength.
There
was a writing exercise, in this writing exercise, we had to describe the sides
of our own character that didn't made us happy or the character sides of us we
disliked the most. Then you needed to ask yourself why we experience those
negative feelings and if you could find a way to turn it into something
positive, to see the good sides instead of putting the weight on the bad
side.
It
arose a lot of discussions. It is hard to allow yourself to be yourself and not
to pay attention to what others think about it. There is nothing you have to be
ashamed of. Every part of you is entitled to exist because they make you who
you are.
But we
all struggle with it and hide them behind a mask of defense and the result is
that we do not feel fine because we do not present ourselves the way we really
are.
The
workshop had a beautiful subject but there was something that strokes us as not
good: there was no binding between every member present. Lots of women stayed
alone during the break and only the ones who already knew each other got
together. This is a very painful issue that happens a lot in our nowadays
society. But at an event like this, you do not expect it and it should not
belong there.
The
last meditation was about opening your heart. Many women were feeling tired
after this long day and did not manage to focus properly.
To open
your heart, unfortunately, it was not really manifested during this workshop.
Is it
true that we all search for the place where we can stay safely and to exclude
others we do not know. I wished that at a day like this, we, as woman, could
just sit around one table and learning each other and really being one.
This
was my first workshop, and besides that there was not really a connection with
the woman's who were there, it was an amazing day and I really enjoyed it!
Big
thanks to my mom who did write partly this post and helped me writing this
post!
Did you
go to a workshop once? If yes, where? Would love to have a chat with you about
it!
Lots of love
~Joëlle~
